| M.Schumacher Birthplace: Hth-Hermheim, Ger. Nationality: German Residence: Vufflens, Switzerland Michael Schumacher needs little introduction. He is often thought of as the best driver, of any series, in the world due to his ability to make up for lesser machinery with a quickness paralleled by few. Coupled with his amazing quickness is a great desire to win, enabling him to keep his cool during the dicey situations where, more often than not, he comes out on top. This desire has also forced him to make decisions on the race track that have gotten him in trouble, such as his two-race suspension in 1994 and infamous 'blocking' attempt on Jacques Villeneuve in 1997. Despite these instances, Michael went on to win three more championships in fine style, and in the process rewriting the F1 record books. He has the most wins, points, fastest laps, and podiums of all time, and is only comparable to Juan Manuel Fangio and Ayrton Senna in effect of a driver on the sport. Surely, the most talented racing driver in the world has a championship or two left in him before he walks away from the sport as its most d ecorated driver. 2003 Formula 1 (Ferrari) 2002 Formula 1 (Ferrari): 1st 2001 Formula 1 (Ferrari): 1st 2000 Formula 1 (Ferrari): 1st 1999 Formula 1 (Ferrari): 5th 1998 Formula 1 (Ferrari): 2nd 1997 Formula 1 (Ferrari): DQ 1996 Formula 1 (Ferrari): 3rd 1995 Formula 1 (Benetton): 1st 1994 Formula 1 (Benetton): 1st 1993 Formula 1 (Benetton): 4th 1992 Formula 1 (Benetton): 3rd 1991 Formula 1 (Jor./Ben): 13th 1990 German Formula 3: 1st 1989 German Formula 3: 3rd 1988 European FF 1600: 2nd 1987 Karting |
